San Diego State
As a student at San Diego State, I had the privilege of learning from some of the best journalism and media professionals in the nation. Whether it be longtime NFL writer Jim Trotter or legendary television producer Louis Weiner, I was able to learn many foundational skills and practice real-world journalism in the San Diego area. Below are examples of some of the work I produced during my four years at SDSU.
Journalism Capstone
For my journalism capstone, I was tasked with creating a multimedia project centered around issues in the San Diego Area. Due to my love for nature and the beach, I decided to focus on the effect that storm runoff has on San Diego and its beaches. After interviewing multiple sources and searching through beach closure databases, I created a story outlining what issues San Diego is facing and what needs to be done to improve the problem. By clicking on the image below, you can find my full multimedia project, including a print story, a video, and a series of graphs and charts.

Televison News Reporting and Producing
During my final semester at SDSU, I enrolled in a television news class taught by legendary news producer Louis Weiner. Throughout the course, I learned the intricacies of both television news reporting as well as producing and news writing. Below I have linked three packages I created throughout the course as well as a link to our class newscast in which I served as an associate producer.
