The Daily Aztec

Joining The Daily Aztec, San Diego State’s student newspaper, has been easily the most meaningful and important journalistic experience of my career. I was able to both hone my craft as a journalist as well as lead a team of sports writers while working as the sports editor. Click this link for more information about my time at the DA.

San Diego State

As a student at San Diego State, I had the privilege of learning from some of the best journalism and media professionals in the nation. Whether it be longtime NFL writer Jim Trotter or legendary television producer Louis Weiner, I was able to learn many foundational skills and practice real-world journalism in the San Diego area. Sonoma Index-Tribune

My first professional journalism experience came with my hometown paper, the Sonoma Index-Tribune. I spent the summer of 2020 working as an intern where I learned important journalistic principals, how to work with a team in a newsroom and how to be a professional reporter.
